Drone inspections for industrial facilities, materials management in pipeline construction, and thermography in accordance with the latest standards.

Drone Inspections for Industry—Fast, Efficient, and Safe.

Do drones make life easier? They certainly do for you, provided you’re responsible for industrial facilities, the energy efficiency of buildings, or the construction of pipelines and quality assurance in pipeline construction—to name just a few examples.

Whether it’s regular mandatory inspections of metal storage tanks, building thermography, failure prevention, or damage diagnosis—the use of drones by the engineering firm Dendl, or IB Dendl for short, offers numerous advantages.
  • Cost savings: Drones drastically reduce the effort required for inspections —both in terms of time and money.
  • Safety: Drones can also reach places that humans cannot access or where there are dangers to life and limb —all without the need for scaffolding or positioning markers.
  • Expert Knowledge: In addition to state-of-the-art drone technology, IB Dendl also brings in-depth technical knowledge and expertise gained over decades. Among other benefits, your business gains legal certainty through guaranteed compliance with the latest industry standards.
Drone services from the expert in industrial plant construction and quality assurance for piping systems are all available in one place: at IB Dendl.

Range of Services—One Point of Contact, Many Tasks Handled.

At IB Dendl, you'll find a world of useful, time- and cost-saving services for the industry.

Drone Services

Efficiently flown, professionally documented, quickly completed: Conducting regular inspections with drones saves you downtime, accidents, time, and costs.

Materials Management

From plant engineering to quality assurance in piping construction, welding supervision, and materials science: at IB Dendl, you’ve come to the right place—you’re in the hands of highly qualified professionals and in safe hands.

Thermography

High-resolution cameras and the meticulous attention to detail of passionate professionals: IB Dendl identifies any defects and is your first point of contact for building and photovoltaic thermography.

Outdoor Inspections

With a variety of drones and the appropriate equipment mounted on them, we can cover a wide range of applications. These include inspections of wind turbines, solar power systems, bridges, buildings, power poles, etc.
Wind Turbines
We inspect the towers and rotor blades of wind turbines for damage that may result from operational loads and environmental factors.
Photovoltaic Systems
One major application of drone thermography is the aerial inspection of photovoltaic systems. Using a thermal imaging camera, defective cells can be identified very easily.
Electricity
It is possible to inspect power poles using a visual camera while simultaneously checking the live components using thermographic imaging.
Bridges and Buildings
Inspections of bridges and buildings to identify cracks in the concrete, inspect the integrated steel structures, or locate areas of damage on roofs.

Use Cases for Aerial Photography

We don't just conduct drone inspections; we also provide traditional aerial photography services for private individuals, event organizers, municipalities, real estate agents, surveyors, and similar clients.
Documentation
If you need photos or videos for documentation of construction progress—we have the solution for you.
Thermographic Images
for municipalities and cities to identify “hot spots” in public areas, but also for industrial facilities to identify heat loss that results in persistently high costs
Commercial Aerial Photographs
We produce photos and videos for your company for marketing campaigns or promotional brochures.
Private Aerial Photographs
We will take aerial photographs of your house or property in compliance with the GDPR

Advantages

Safety
The use of drones means that people do not have to put themselves in dangerous situations. There is no need to climb into containers, nor is it necessary to work at great heights.
Saves resources and time
Significant time savings through the use of drones. Example: A conventional inspection of a large storage tank typically takes at least 3 days, including setting up and taking down scaffolding and conducting the inspection. With a drone, all of this can be completed in half a day.
Cost-Effectiveness
The use of drones can eliminate the need for expensive scaffolding, labor-intensive cleaning work, or high medical costs. Cost savings of up to 60% compared to standard inspections are possible.
Professional Expertise
Decades of experience and specialized training in the fields of pressure equipment, welding technology, and non-destructive testing guarantee reliable results.

Range of Services

With our "flying eye," we look up at:
  • Welds
  • Corrosion damage
  • Coating Problems
  • Roof Structures
  • Reinforced brickwork
  • Insulation Damage
  • Piping
  • Anchors

Storage tanks

Storage tanks very often experience corrosion problems due to the stagnant liquid or in combination with oxygen. Since the liquid level is very often in the top third of a tank and this area can only be inspected using scaffolding, this results in high inspection costs. We fly drones over these areas and can provide very precise information about the extent of corrosion and the condition of the coating. Inspections of the roof trusses can also be carried out easily using drones.

Pressure Equipment

We inspect equipment, vessels, piping, columns, and much more. We conduct condition assessments and take a close look at welds, localized damage, deposits, and internal components.

Halls

Halls, storage areas, and workshops often have high ceilings that can only be inspected using heavy and expensive technical equipment. With an indoor drone, we can inspect the steel structure, roof construction, utility lines, high-rise racking, and similar elements with minimal effort.

Stoves & Chimneys

We fly drones through the interiors of furnaces and chimneys to assess the condition of the refractory linings, anchors, and supports.

Thermographic Images

(Photovoltaics, hot spots, electricity, etc.)

Using a thermal imaging camera mounted on a drone, we can capture thermographic images and thereby identify temperature fields and temperature differences. This allows us to detect overheated parts on machinery or electrical components. Hot spots in public places or on buildings are very easy to identify using thermographic images.

Property Inspections Using Outdoor Drones

With the right zoom lens, we can capture and document details on a variety of objects. Especially at great heights—where cranes would otherwise be required—we can conduct inspections of bridges, steel structures, roofs, public buildings, and similar structures.
